Special ships for forestry products transport wood pulp from all the world’s main production areas to Brake. With around 1.2m tonnes, Brake ranks among Europe’s leading import ports for these goods.
Wood pulp is stored in modern sheds with a total area of around 70,000 m². Subsequent product-specific delivery to the recipients can be implemented by rail, truck or barge, with rail transport the most common for delivering to German and European customers.
Date interchange using EDI or Internet facilitates smooth and on-schedule handling of orders, supports optimal production planning and secures a reliable material supply for processing plants.
